Google maps

Since October 2006, we have presented the distribution of each species using Google Maps. Records are presented in two ways, namely as point records or as Quarter Degree Squares.

Point records

For an example of point records, click on the following link, which is a map of Harpachne schimperi records.

This plots our records of the alien grass, Harpachne schimperi, which so far has only been recorded within and close to Harare. This species has been chosen because the the national distribution is limited and probably fairly complete.

If you click on one of the teardrops, it will display some details of the record.

Quarter Degree Squares

The records for the same species, plotted as Quarter Degree Squares, are at the following link.
