Description:
Erect glabrous, glaucous perennial herb, often branched above. Leaves arranged spirally or in whorls, linear to linear-lanceolate, numerous. Flowers in a long dense raceme. Sepals linear. Corolla violet or occasionally pink (see image 5). Spur c. 1/2 as long as rest of corolla, curved. Capsule longer than calyx. Seeds without wings.
